One of my favourite perennials with beautiful crimson-scarlet flowers over an incredibly long period, late July to frosts. A seedling of coccinea 'Major' found by June Towe and named after her retriever, and why not, this has a deeper colour and slightly taller. I have seen some plants named 'Cindy Towe' which are not, probably raised from seed. Handsome semi-evergreen foliage is really handy to keep that alive look when things are going over so a valuable border addition (not great pictures though sorry!)
