(Formerly Schizostylis) the hesperanthas are an invaluable plant for the late summer border to keep the colour and season going. They also have the advantage of semi-evergreen foliage which is really helpful. I have grown a few white selections, some have smaller flowers or a weak constitution, this is one of two I selected as must have for my garden. Large crystal white five-petalled flowers with golden anthers through from early autumn to Christmas this year (2024). This variety makes good clumps to split mid-to late spring but with hesperanthas let them make a decent clump first as they do not have huge roots. <br> Easy to grow though and look after themselves.....happy days!
