Generally considered to have the richest-red autumn colour of all the oak-leaved hydrangeas, this is the plant that brought me around to this group. Very handsome foliage at any time, it is supported by quite large, creamy-white upright heads that age with a pink tint. The autumn colour is very striking and this newer cultivar is definitely one to have. All quercifolia seem to flower better in full sun, with added humus to make sure they do not dry out.
