Large deciduous leaves are adorned with golden yellow tubular, scented flowers, protected by a characteristic hooded bract. Collected from the wooded mountains above the Yangtze in Southern Sichuan, subaequalis is perfectly hardy and although still a rare, recently collected plant, it is suitable for most gardens.<br>
