Meconopsis 'Branklyn'

Named for the famous Branklyn Garden established in 1922 by John & Dorothy Renton (a small but special garden now looked after by Scottish National Trust). 'Branklyn' is arich blue, fully perennial meconopsis, very different to the short-lived seed raised varieties usually advertised. Mainatained by division from the original plants, almost lost to cultivation and therefore quite special and desirable. Moist, humus-rich soil in part shade or further up North in a more open sunny situation. JUST A FEW OF THESE ORIGINAL DIVISIONS.
