Very different to the usual "pampas' grass (although I think some of the allegedly "unfashionable pampas' grasses are still useful). Long, narrow, leathery green leaves with lovely plumes of white fluffy flowers on tall stems to 3m in late summer. I have some clumps of it here in my own garden and I think it is absolutely stunning as a centrepiece or focal point plant.
