A completely well-behaved and very handsome persicaria, much used in current design for good reason. The handsomely tapered leaves are a matt finish in deep burgundy with a darker centre surrounded by a pinkish-white chevron. Very easy to grow and maintain, it forms clumps that will tolerate all soils in sun or shade - hence it's rise to popularity in a relatively short space of time. Small white flowers are not really relevant. As I understand it, this plant was found in China by Greg Speichert and should not be subject to PBR.
