Position: Shade

Eventual Spread: 0.90m (3ft) in 5yrs
A very special, rare and striking fern from Central and South America, with big stems holding up elegant lacy fronds with a silvery-blue underside.
I have grown Lophosoria for years and there is nothing like it when it gets 6-8 foot.
My experience is it is pretty hardy given some shelter, more shade shelter, bigger it gets..........
I HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF FRESHLY DUG STRONG PIECES OF LOPHOSORIA NOW AVAILABLE. HALF THE PRICE OF WHAT HAS BEEN CHARGED RECENTLY, BUT IT HAS TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION THE TIME IT TAKES TO PRODUCE SALEABLE MATERIAL
ADVICE: Take time to find the right location. I have it growing in a sunny open area but it does not reach those dizzy heights. Find a place with shade
put in as much humusy material as you can (leafmould is perfect....collect your leaves....I bag them up in garden waste bags and put them aside to rot down, you don't need a compost area....) and most importantly keep your lophosoria well watered now it is much drier until it is established and your efforts will be rewarded!
