Probably one of the most desirable mahonias I have. It came to me through Peter Cox back in the nineties as longibracteata, it also is still viewed as longibracteata in 'Flora of China'. Lastly longibracteata fits on the label....<br> The plant...really handsome slender foliage on a compact bush (for a mahonia). Exquisite copper red new foliage and lovely terminal racemes of golden yellow in Autumn. A real class act and desirable mahonia. These are propagated from the original introduction.
