Probably one of the most desirable mahonias I have. It came to me through Peter Cox back in the nineties as longibracteata, it also is still viewed as longibracteata in 'Flora of China'. Lastly longibracteata fits on the label....
The plant...really handsome slender foliage on a compact bush (for a mahonia). Exquisite copper red new foliage and lovely terminal racemes of golden yellow in Autumn. A real class act and desirable mahonia. These are propagated from the original introduction.
