Gorgeously scented dense racemes of flowers in June and the growth is more compact than most forms of delavayi, making this a very desirable plant even putting aside these are plants from Wilsons original collection of 1908.<br> The scent of purpurascens isw quite swpecific and beautiful and for me this is one of my top five shrubs.
